Would you like a slice of lemon with that?

The lawn was white and so was everything else yesterday morning. I did not need to look at the display to know it was cold.
The office at Portofino was not the only place I couldn't get warm.

Tuesday night was also very cold and although we did not expect many brave souls to venture out for a meal, we were fairly busy, especially during the Happy Hour at Portofino.

I think that many people prefer to come straight from work for something to eat before heading home to camp in front of the telly on cold nights like the ones we are having.

When I got home I made a quick vegetable and chicken soup with basil (Half an hour in the pressure cooker!). Talk about fast food!!

Sometimes (when your really hungry)fast food is the best.
So pleased you do an Happy hour, all this talk of banning then makes me boil, like that will stop juvenile drinking. They want it every way, when alcopops first came out, they couldn't manufacture them quick enough, now they use it as an excuse to tax us even more. I think that they should have a look at the results this did when the Danish tried all this rubbish. The average working -class person just wants to enjoy a relaxing refreshing drink, without all the restrictions and paying through the nose for it Sorry rant over!!!

I enjoyed your rant, Q and I am of the same opinion when it comes to underage drinking.
BTW, our Happy Hour is only to do with food.

I almost wished it was deep winter here! 19°C today, and I have been hit by the worst allergy attack in years since yesterday. Chicken soup still sounds good.:-)
